Our Pastor

Rev. Kurt WieserRev. Kurt Wieser has been serving in recognized ministries since 1995. These ministries have been to both called positions as well as some non-traditional pastoral positions. He has served as a trauma chaplain at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and as program director of outreach ministries at Old First in Philadelphia. He has also served as a homeless shelter monitor for One Night at a Time, a faith-based organization. He has been serving Liberation as Senior Pastor since January 2003.

One of his interests in addition to parish ministry is staying in touch with the broader realities of our world through immersion experiences in developing countries. In 1995 he had the opportunity to visit Central Mexico, where he lived with a family in a squatter’s village while working to secure permanent land for the indigenous inhabitants of the village.

In 2000 Pastor Kurt went to India where he traveled with a group throughout the southern tier of the country living in a variety of settings. Each of these experiences were deeply meaningful and continue to inform his ministry.

Pastor Kurt is passionate about people and serving God with integrity.
